The Online Holy Bible Web, Real-time Bible Reading, the first in the World.
About the Holy Bible Web...
Using the latest Web-based technology, history's most revered, most read and most important book is now available in easy-to-read format, through the efforts of a group of inmates who call themselves the Inmates' Christian Council (ICC), an inter-dominational group whose mission is to share the word of God in the Holy Bible, with the end purpose of effecting a holistic change in the lifestyle, attitudes, behaviors and outlooks of inmates through spiritual development, in preparation for their eventual re-integration into the mainstream of society and as an integral part of the BuCor’s program of rehabilitation, envisioning an ideal community of God fearing, dignified and loving men, a Christian brotherhood united together in faith, nurtured in hope and kindled in love for the Heavenly Father, regardless of race, creed or religious denomination.
The Holy Bible Web (King James Version) is the first of its kind in the entire World Wide Web. It is but one of the worthwhile endeavors of the Inmates' Christian Council, in addition to twice-weekly bible devotions at the Reception and Diagnostic Center and other religious activities.
The holy task of spreading God's word, not only within the confines of a prison community but to the widest possible readership has a psecial urgency today. Despite all his material achievements, man still struggles with age-old problems of how to order his life for the glory of God, for the welfare of his fellowmen and the salvation of his soul.
This Holy Bible on the web is a new and novel opportunity for men to give themselves to frequent reading of, and meditation on, the living Word of God In its pages, it is hoped that His voice is recognized, His message of deep significance is heard for every man. Through the spiritual dynamism and prophetic force of the Holy Bible, the Holy Spirit spreads his light and his warmth over all men, in whatever historical or sociological situation they find themselves in.
To all who have contributed in one way or another to this project, and to all of our brothers who seek in its pages the sacred teaching and the promise of salvation of Jesus Christ, we thank you for supporting us in this humble and worthwhile endeavor, hoping that this be a first step towards the truth, the light and the salvation...
