USEC OSCAR C CALDERON

      USEC OSCAR C CALDERON, was born in Manila on October 1, 1951 to spouses Leonardo Calderon Sr and Angelita C. Calderon. He is married to MARIA TERESA L. CALDERON, a businesswoman with whom he has three (3) children, a daughter, MARIE CHRISTINE, and two (2) sons, OSCAR LEONARD JR and GERARD.

      He finished his primary education in 1964 from the Cabanatuan West Central School and his high school from the Nueva Ecija High School in 1968. Full of dreams and armed with determination, he took the exams for the Philippine Military Academy in Baguio City and soon in 1969, he found himself as a young cadet. He survived the rigid military training and in 1973, as a military officer with a rank of second lieutenant, he was designated as a Commanding Officer of the Cambat Support Coy in Parang Maguindanao, his first assignment.

      He finished his Master in Management Degree from the Philippine Christian University in 1994 and in 1998, he began taking up his Doctorate Degree in Bicol University where he earned 4th Term PASA-D in year 2000.

      Professionally, he prepared himself by undergoing various seminars and trainings such as Officer Senior Executive Course, the PC Officers Advance Course, the PC Officers Basic Course, the Apprentice CID Special Agent Course in Investigation, the Instructor Training Course, and on Hostage Negotiation and Anti-Terrorism Executive Forum Course.

      In the past, he has held numerous and prestigious positions such as District Commanders of Cebu City, Iloilo City, Calamba Laguna, San Fernando Pampanga, Provincial Director of the Eastern Samar PNP Command, District Director of the Davao METRODISCOM, Chief of Staff of PRO 4 Camp Vicente Lim in Calamba Laguna, Regional Directors of PRO 3, Camp Olivas San Fernando City and PRO 4 CALABARZON, Chief of the Directorial Staff of the NHQ, Camp Crame and the most prestigious one as Chief of the PHILIPPINE NATIONAL POLICE.
